Question 1
What needs attention?
Need personal help? Contact your workplace owner or pilot administrator. See what to share safely.
Sign in to your workplace
Use the workplace account arranged for your pilot and make sure its email address has been confirmed. Public account registration is not open yet. The product preview does not create a workplace account.
If sign-in fails, check the email address and password. If you cannot confirm your email or access your workplace, ask your workplace owner or pilot administrator for help. Do not share your password.
Go to sign inPair a reception device
Pairing is available only after secure kiosk setup is enabled for the pilot. A workplace owner or administrator with access to the site prepares the device from Devices in the workplace portal.
- Use a dedicated reception browser profile. Keep staff accounts signed out on that profile.
- In Devices, choose the Reception site, enter a recognisable Device name and select Create pairing link.
- Open the private link on the intended reception device within five minutes. The link can be used once.
- Select Pair this reception device. Pairing does not happen just by opening the link.
Do not forward a pairing link or include it in a screenshot. For an expired link, ask the administrator for a new one. If the result was interrupted, have the administrator check the device state before replacing the link; do not assume pairing failed.
If Devices says pairing is not available yet, pilot configuration still needs to be completed. Repeated attempts will not enable it.
Open your workplace portalOpen the kiosk welcome screen. The managed app uses protected device storage; a regular browser offers the online kiosk instead.
Handle an interrupted arrival
The web kiosk needs a working connection. Direct visitors to reception if the connection fails. When a submission result is uncertain, reception should check whether the visit was recorded before creating another arrival.
Keep a managed device with unsynchronised records available for controlled recovery. Do not clear its storage, reinstall the app or re-pair it to try to recover those records. Credential rotation cannot recover a missing encryption key or restore a revoked device.
Offline use on physical devices still needs pilot validation. Follow your workplace’s reception procedure until that capability is explicitly available.
Prepare for badge printing
Badge printing is not available on the web kiosk yet. The planned default is a Brother QL-820NWB with DK-11202 62 × 100 mm labels; the assigned tablet, printer and label combination must be tested together before use.
Confirm the assigned printer model and label roll with the pilot administrator before changing supplies. A badge preview or queued job does not confirm a physical print. If a print result is uncertain, check the printer and ask reception to review it before requesting another badge.
When a host has not been notified
Let reception know and follow your workplace’s contact procedure. Do not create another visit just to trigger an alert. A recorded arrival does not confirm that a host received a message.
Email, SMS, WhatsApp and Microsoft Teams each need separate setup and pilot acceptance. Their appearance in the product preview does not mean they are connected. The preview sends no host alerts.
What to include when asking for help
Start with your workplace owner or pilot administrator. Include the site and device label, approximate time and time zone, what you were trying to do, and the error wording. Say if the result is uncertain.
Leave out visitor details, private photos, passwords, confirmation links and pairing links. This guide does not submit a support ticket; ticketing and chat are still being prepared.
